Who We Are

About Peck Academy

A mentor-led, state-licensed instructional design school built to get you hired, not just certified.

Our story

Built on Success. Designed for Your Future.

Since 2020, we've helped aspiring instructional designers build beautiful portfolios and go on to work with leading organizations, all through our industry-leading ID Bootcamp.

After refining our curriculum with an independent advisory committee and becoming a state-licensed career school, we built Peck Academy's Instructional Design Professional Certification: a more rigorous, career-ready program designed for today's market.

Our focus is straightforward: help you build a portfolio that holds up in real hiring conversations, earn a certification that actually signals readiness, and confidently transition into instructional design with support to back you up.

Meet the School Director

Devlin Peck

Devlin started his freelance instructional design business as a master's student and found quick success thanks to his portfolio. As his business grew, he began helping friends and peers break into the field by showing them how to upskill and build portfolios of their own.

As word spread, he created everything from free content to formal programs to help current and aspiring instructional designers build their skills and land new opportunities. That passion led him to found Peck Academy.

Today, Devlin guides the school's direction and keeps the curriculum aligned with market demand. He leads a team of skilled, community-focused instructional designers who give students the support and education they need to succeed.

A Team of Working Instructional Designers

You'll learn from experienced instructional designers who have made the same transition you're making: former educators who moved into the field and now design learning for a living. Your mentors work closely with you on every deliverable, bringing a strong eye for visual design and a deep understanding of how people learn.

Our resident Storyline Pro runs live workshops every week, helping you troubleshoot your eLearning projects and get inspired on what to build next. And behind the scenes, our operations team keeps everything running smoothly, so you can focus on building your skills and your portfolio.

Advisory Committee

Backed by Independent Experts

Our curriculum is also shaped by an independent Advisory Committee of instructional design leaders who keep the program aligned with what employers actually hire for.
